http://www.lulu.com/content/160960 “Garlic be damned. There's no vampire mojo powerful enough to help us resist this enticing romp by T.P. Keating. Lured into his masterful web of bats, assorted ghouls and things that go slurp in the night; we're ultimately seduced by the melanin-challenged Connie. She's part vamp, obsessed with sunscreen almost as much as the next tempting jugular. The moon is full, the creatures are rampant, and every page is a decadent pleasure. Nothing to do but stock up on some back-up plasma and surrender. With Keating leading us through this delightful darkness, what's a few fang marks between friends?” GINA GALLO, AUTHOR OF ARMED AND DANGEROUS: MEMOIRS OF A CHICAGO COP.
“I like the idea of being one-eighth vampire, and that manifesting itself as an annoying disability in modern Britain.” MALCOLM GASKILL, AUTHOR OF WITCHFINDERS: A SEVENTEENTH-CENTURY ENGLISH TRAGEDY. "It's a breezy and humorous twist on the vampire pantheon with an engaging protagonist--and some unique new additions to the mythology as well. The one detail I liked the most was the notion that even after being turned into flooring or furniture, the spirit of a tree remains." JOSEPH PIERSON, PRESIDENT, CYPRESS FILMS INC, NEW YORK. My short story, ONE SICK VAMPIRE, was nominated for the 2004 James White Award. "An unusual take on the vampire myth that manages to reference the old stereotypes and avoid them at the same time. I liked it a lot." MICHAEL CARROLL, JUDGING PANEL. Read it at: http://www.bloodlust-uk.com"If only there was about a hundred more like you!" ILLONA VAMP, EDITOR OF BLOODLUST-UK.
HAPPINESS, OR THE CASH EQUIVALENT, appears in the anthology SMALL CRIMES, Betancourt & Co, July 2004. Hardback; ISBN 1-59224-949-3. $32.95. "Perfect beach read... expect the unexpected with this book!" From BARNES&NOBLE.COM Another anthology, MURDER IN VEGAS, March, 2005, contains KILLER HEELS KILL TWICE AS DEAD. Forge Books Hardcover, ISBN: 0765307391, and Tor Books Paperback, ISBN: 0765307405. "...the tales manage to use the usual Vegas topics--desert heat, the Mafia, big scores gone wrong--in new and unusual ways." BOOKLIST. "My favorite story was "Killer Heels Kill Twice as Dead", by T.P. Keating, an author who I'd not read before. In this wicked tale of revenge, a smart show girl tries to get out of an unfair contract she signed under duress. She's out for revenge, and the story is a good one." L. KELLY, LAKEWOOD, COLORADO, USA. “There's something for everyone in this book. As with any book of short stories, some are excellent while others are... well.. not excellent. My personal favorites are "Killer Heels Kill Twice as Dead" by T. P. Keating and 'Oddsmaker' by Edward Wellen. A solid collection for anyone that likes a good murder tale or twenty-two.” FRENCHY’S BOOK CLUB, USA. Smoke on the Water. “In the dark world of crime fiction, there's a clear distinction between authors that are smokin' guns versus those pretenders who merely blow smoke. In this crime compilation, British phenomenon T.P. Keating establishes his peerless talent as he blows us all away with “Killer Heels Kill Twice As Dead” - a magnum round of plot twists, cunning and delicious darkness of the highest caliber. Word-slinging wannabes take note: read and learn from this master marksman. With all that smokey noir blowing across the pond from England, when are we going to see a complete volume of Keating's work?” ELISE LYONS, USA: AUTHOR, EDITOR, NOIRIST. An anthology from Saucy Tales of the Supernatural is available for download - see below for details.
For those who like old-style space opera, Saucy Tales of the Supernatural has created an archive, dedicated to my Spacer adventure stories (it currently contains four), at:
http://www.freewebs.com/saucytales/archive.html While the heroine rockets into her first printed appearance through the anthology DAIKAIJU!2: REVENGE OF THE GIANT MONSTERS (Agog! Press), in the story THE SPACER AND THE RED HOT MONSTER. It is available from Amazon.com. “[Daikaiju! 2]… refuses to settle down into simplistic monster stories. Instead it shows us haunting tales that sometimes lead us to question ourselves and our need for monsters.” ADAM BALES: ASIF.DREAMHOSTERS.COM If you have any difficulties accessing a story listed on this site, please send an e-mail with the title and I’ll look into it. If an e-zine is no longer available, I will send you a copy of the story.

I'm an English, London-based writer.
I love writing. It's a commitment that I enjoy every day.
As a child, the first book that made a big impression on me was Moominland Midwinter, by Tove Jannson: "All things are so very uncertain, and that's exactly what makes me feel reassured." "Our school maintains that nothing can be known for certain... we say, that some things are probable, others improbable."
Cicero (106BC to 43BC) I cannot overstate how indebted I am to my beautiful wife, Marielle, for her unending patience in reading my numerous drafts. The stories simply wouldn't exist in their present form without her (or exist at all, without her initial encouragement to write). I started writing with a mystery/fantasy work for ages 8 - 11+. A chapter taken from the book, then radically rewritten for an older audience, became my first short story accepted for publication, Magic Bullet in BlueMurder.com. This story finally sees the light of day in the November 2003 edition of Deep Magic:
http://www.deep-magic.net/issues.php?issue=18 Previously, a crime magazine had accepted a general article. I wrote some companion pieces, but the publication folded before the first article could be printed. Good luck to Margo Power, of the late Murderous Intent Mystery Magazine, wherever life may take you. Several of my stories were accepted by BlueMurder.com (now very regrettably defunct), together with
http://www.PlotsWithGuns.com/archives.htm Check out PWG's archives issues. March/April 2001 for Nothing Promised - No Regrets, and May/June 2001 for Blood Red Blues. To Elise Lyons of the former magazine, and Hunter Hayes and Neil Smith of the latter, lit by the flashing neon light beyond the diner, I raise my cup of steaming hot Java in salute! Two further stories appeared in the March/April 2002 issue. These are Noir and Day, and Dead is a 4-Letter Word.
I keep my cup raised for Victoria Esposito-Shea of
http://www.HandHeldCrime.com She included 1 Nightmare Drive in edition #28. Although HHC is no more, just let me know if you would like to read the story.
The January/February 2003 issue of PlotsWithGuns.com saw the appearance of The Case of the Dead Hippy. In addition, Rutger Hauer has kindly included two stories on his not-for-profit Starfish Association website:

“ To T.P.Keating, YOUR STORY ROCKS! Really enjoyed it! Loving you forever” ROKETDONUT “ TP Keating! I just read your short story and loved it!! That was hilarious and very clever! Write some more!” LSD
http://guestbooks.pathfinder.gr/read/rutgerhauer?pass=&page=279 While you can meet a Weekend Vampire, together with a Gumshoe Bat and Bleeding Hearts, in the Vampire Stories section of:
http://www.bloodlust-uk.com/stories.htm These feature the same heroine as the James White Award nominated One Sick Vampire. As does Stony Weather, in issue #4 of Fools Motley.
My sequence of werewolf tales comes courtesy of Lost Souls Magazine:
1. Wolf To Go http://lostsoulsmag.tripod.com/main/id65.html 7. Highland Coffee High "Thanks TP, I particularly enjoyed the humour... I look forward to reading the next lot of adventures." JAZMINA CININAS, PRINTMAKER AND AUTHOR/DESIGNER OF THE "GIRLIE WEREWOLF PROJECT" EXHIBITION. The Spring 2007 “Femme Fatales” issue of Hardluck Stories contains Holding a Pair: NB This is what the text actually says: She turned around and sat on my desk. I could get used to that type of paperweight. “Look at my back.” As luck would have it, that's exactly where I was looking. I had the natural instincts that investigation required. “What do you see?” “A tiny tattoo.” “Look closer. What is it?” Well, it was her dollar. I leaned over the desk and examined the small of her back. Hard work, but someone had to do it. “It’s five cards. A poker hand.” She was holding a pair…. A well stocked library and the web are my main research tools. The people in my tales are an assimilation, a distillation, of the tangle of everything around us, inside and outside.
"I got the feeling I should be sipping an iced martini, admiring my fire-red pedicure peeking from my leopard-skin stilleto mules, and waiving a crystal cigarette holder." Elise Lyons, Blue Murder.
Current writers Hall of Fame:
Anne Billson "Suckers" is a must read for vampire fans.
Lois McMaster Bujold Space opera with real characters.
Lindsey Davis Knowing anachronisms in the Roman empire. An excellent crime writer.
Janet Evanovich Trash mouth characters who are criminally funny.
Gina Gallo Down these mean streets a woman must walk. Her book, Armed & Dangerous, Memoirs of a Chicago Policewoman, is in equal measure fascinating and disturbing. You cannot have an informed opinion about police work without reading this book first.
Sparkle Hayter Tart Noir indeed. Humorous and sharp.
David Sedaris A unique, dry wit. Unless it rains.
"Life's a contradiction and I'm of the conviction, the more you think is real the more is fiction." Minor Therapy by Fox.
